Donald Trump’s Unique Dining Preferences at White House Dinners

Donald Trump has always had a distinct approach when it comes to food, and it seems that his unique preferences extend to White House dinners as well. According to his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, the President has particular tastes that even influence what he eats during formal occasions.

At dinners with guests, Trump is served a different meal from the rest of the attendees. For instance, when the salad course is served, he enjoys Thousand Island dressing, while others have creamy vinaigrette. When it’s time for the main dish, Trump is the only one given an extra side of sauce to accompany his chicken. As for dessert, while others get a single scoop of vanilla ice cream with their chocolate cream pie, Trump prefers two scoops.

Trump’s daily food choices also reflect his fondness for specific meals. Lewandowski mentioned that the President often skips breakfast but will have bacon and eggs when necessary. For lunch, he reportedly enjoys meatloaf or a steak cooked to his liking with ketchup. For dinner, his go-to choice is fast food, particularly two McDonald’s Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate shake, which totals approximately 2,430 calories. If he’s not in the mood for McDonald’s, a KFC bucket is another favorite.

The preference for fast food may be tied to Trump’s alleged fear of being poisoned. In his 2018 book Fire and Fury, journalist Michael Wolff suggested that Trump’s fondness for chain restaurants was due to the fact that the food is pre-made and less likely to be tampered with. Trump himself has explained his preference by saying he trusts the cleanliness and standard of large fast food chains, as any major issue with their food would quickly tarnish their reputation.

It seems that Trump’s love for fast food and his distinct food choices have become a hallmark of his time in the White House, and it’s clear that these preferences are unlikely to change anytime soon.
